The Yurt was amazing. I don’t think there are any photos of the shower but it was the highlight for me and my partner. The views are outrageously amazing. The yurt is warm and well insulated. The bed is super comfy. We went to Paradise Falls which was spectacular. The photos of this online do not do it justice. Whitfield was gorgeous as well. Stopped at Hobbledehoy Cafe and Distillery and the coffee was really great. They had some great local alcohols and foods. Stopped at Pizzini on the way back and such a stunning place. I will say that it is very windy there which made it challenging to cook and use fire but other than the uncontrollable natural elements it was a very special place. Sheep and goats also come right up to the yurt. I wish we had a few more days there to do more wineries and to check out Chestnut and do more hikes, walks and look outs. There is no shortage of activities in surrounding areas.

Very unique experience. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and the location was truly breathtaking. Warm and comfortable, and as rustic as you'd expect from the description by the host. We both felt our yurt was a little messy. Took away from the experience a bit. Other than that, was a great experience

  • If you are looking for quiet and calmness this is the place. They have 3 Yrts and all of them are incredible. There are 2 on the top of the mountain ⛰️ and they have 360 digress view. In the beginning, our reservation was for that one down the mountain but the kindly host Sharon told us we will get the second one on the top. Everything was settled and the Yurt was great. They could add more attractive activities such as horse riding, animal feeding. Indeed, my kids asked them if they can feed some sheep and they liked the idea but we missed the time for that. I highly recommend this place.

We had a most peaceful and restful few days at your wonderful yurt with every detail and need catered for. We were impressed by the private surrounds and the decorative features of this type of accommodation. The bed was superbly comfortable. The hot water was plentiful and the shower powered by fire worked a treat. Thankyou again.

An absolutely amazing place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but I wish it was longer because we had such a great time. The views are spectacular, the yurt and facilities are clean and the owners are lovely. There has clearly been a lot of love put into making the Yurt Alpine Retreat as unique and comfortable as it is. We will definitely be back.

  • Really enjoyed staying here, Sharon was really lovely and helpful, the location is very peaceful with wonderful views. The amenities provided were more than sufficient, awesome experience having a bath outside under the stars and also having a flushing toilet at the ready was great too. The yurt is amazingly warm and cosy, and Sharon's Mongolian Adventure Booklet is a must read! Would come back here anytime.

An amazing overnight stay at the Yurt in November 2020. Beautiful surroundings and a great place to get away from it all and just be. Limited mobile phone coverage so the perfect place to escape and get back in touch with nature

What a magical place looking out to the mountains and King Valley from the shower window and outside bath. Romantic, relaxing get away. Just perfect, quirky and well worth the stay.

  • On this gorgeous farm, there are three magnificent yurts. The farm is a piece of heaven on earth. The views from the yurts are just breathtaking. I was fortunate enough to stay at two different yurts during my visit. I am confident to say that you will be happy in any yurts. I've camped in a variety of stunning locations in Victoria, the Middle East, and the United States. I can confidently say that this Yurt is one among the top five. Sharon, the host, is a really kind, helpful, and welcoming person. This is my first visit, and I am certain that it won't be the last. I packed a lot of things with me that I didn't use as almost all of the things I needed were already provided by the host.

This place is amazing! Rustic yurt accommodation with a million dollar view this place is a must stay if you want to relax and disconnect for a while. We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 3 young children. The kids loved the yurt and we the tranquility, which admittedly we shattered on occasion, but it's amazing!!!

  • Read the fabulous reviews on airbnb! I can honestly say it was such a magical 2 nights and the most breathtaking views! The shower every morning with kookaburras was the highlight. Going back for a girls weekend and then taking hubby back in May. Thanks Sharon!

Words can't describe the beauty of this place. There is so much love and attention to detail given to every aspect. The owners are lovely and helpful. The view is breathtaking, facilities are clean. We had so much fun cooking up a storm in the outside fire. Visit once and you won't be disappointed. I am already thinking of going again.

Exceptional experience in every way. Flushing toilet, hot shower with a view, amazing outdoor bath. Yurt was cosy and warm in the cooler weather we had. Great fireplace to sit around outside while gazing up at the clearest view of the Milky Way. Magical. Glamping at its finest. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Sharon & John x
