Location

Mobile phone coverage is good at the yurt but limited when walking around the property, but why not switch it off altogether and enjoy the "sounds of silence."  Because it is clean mountain air, the stars are unbelievable up here and clearly visible through the dome of the yurt.  There is no electricity but there is gas hot water and solar lighting and a solar operated car fridge.  There is a river 20mins drive, a waterfall an hours drive and a big lake and an isolated water hole called the Rocky Hole 40mins away,  this swimming hole  is in a very isolated area and you will need a four wheel drive to go there. Wineries within 20 mins. drive.  The Ned Kelly trail is 20 mins away.  There is a cheese factory and olive shop,  Milawa bakery and winery in nearby Milawa.

What else do I need to know?



There is an information booklet in the yurt which tells you of other activities in the area,i.e. whitewater rafting, bike riding, trail riding, skiing etc. along with maps of the area.  There is plenty of space for outdoor parking.  Public transport non existent, but pick up from Benalla or Wangaratta can be arranged, be prepared for a remote location where you can run around in the nude if the mood takes you, no nosy neighbours here! Nearest shopping centre is Benalla or Wangaratta which are 40kms away.  Having our own vineyard we have extensive knowledge of the industry and would be pleased to show you around the local wineries if you like.  Anyway enough about us just come on down!
